I missed SC, I'm sick, my head hurts, and my downloads won't finish properly.

The world is conspiring against me.

And it doesn't help that my usual SC resource over at Kami-chan's is impaired at the moment.

I feel bad.

So while I lay on my bed, sick as a dog, finishing three packs of tissue paper a day, not being able to taste the food that I eat (not even the buko pie which I love so dearly) I look towards anime as my haven.

I have recently started watching Itazura na Kiss, an ongoing anime (it's shoujo, forgive me). I find it so cute. Seriously. And I'm totally IN LOVE with Irie Naoki (I-I-I'm sorry Keito DDDDX). He's everything you'd want in a bishie lead character - smart, handsome, sarcastic, sadistic and athletic (and he has an anti-baka forcefield).

We should all be in love with him TOGETHER. I implore you. I need anime buddies, since drama-subbers are much slower than mainstream anime subbers.

But seriously, yeah. I need my cold to stop. And I also need to NOT MISS Zettai Kareshi tomorrow - they're playing with the Manga's plot so much that even I can't tell what's going to happen next (because usually, it's not that hard to predict what's going to happen in Live Action Manga adaptations).

EDIT: W-W-W-W-WOAH. Itazura na Kiss is actually a 2008 ANIME ADAPTATION of  a 1996 DRAMA. I am SRSLY WTF right now.
Great. Now I want to go watch the Drama. D: Save me. (But so far, I hear people like the Anime better)

EDIT EDIT: God, I am so IGNORANT. Okay, so apparently, it's the manga that It Started with a Kiss  based off. Now I sort of get why their plots seemed similar x_x
So basically it was Japanese Manga -> Japanese Drama -> Taiwanese Drama Adaptation -> Japanese Anime
And might I say, the Taiwanese drama wasn't as bad as I'd thought when I watched it a few months ago. It makes so much sense now x_x

Whilst waiting for subs and for the official drama season to begin this spring, I have been concerning myself with the summer hype that is anime.



And in more fandom related news, apparently. the preview of HSJ's new single (? is it the single or just some other song ?) is on yet another volleyball CM


And in non-fandom related news, I went shopping today with my mom - got new 4 1/2 inch wedges (they're shoes for the fashion-illiterate). I feel tall now :D We went to eat over at Kimpura - really swanky Japanese restaurant. It was sort of disappointing, but at least their katsu was okay. The kimonos - THEY'RE ALL FAKE. It was a very pleasant place

I'll try to sleep early today - TRY. But I don't want to ;_; Someone knock some sense into me or something -reaches-

Earth hour aside, I've actually gone a little past anime and all that after I started following Japanese dramas.

Seriously - why go for animations when you can have the real thing.

I mean Live-action adapted anime and manga are generally awesome.


And then there are the anime that I just WANT to have turned into Live-Action Drama Series.

I've been watching a lot of shoujo anime lately. Blame it on my life's complete lack of romance and excitement. Cam and I were talking quite awhile ago about La Corda D'oro. It's this totally wonderful Manga (originally an RPG) about classical music and classical romance. How wonderful.

Now imagine it all in live-action. Imagine your favorite Johnny's playing classical instruments - there will of course, be a heroine, but that's just a minor tweak. But seriously, I'd just LOVE for Yamapi to play one of those gorgeous boys. Tegoshi can be the girl. I won't mind at all...

And then there's The Wallflower, a.k.a. Perfect Girl Evolution - The Manga is way better than the anime, but it's still as amusing. Another perfect opportunity for our wonderful boys to shine - I wouldn't mind Tegoshi playing Yuki the boy often mistaken for a girl - I mean, it happens all the time with Johnny's boys. Really, it does.
