Got this from Irea, an excerpt from an entry on Koyama's J-web.

「薮と光と、ご飯食べに行きました
(Today) I had lunch with Yabu and Hikaru.

『Hi! Hey! Say!』のスタッフさんがお食事会を開いてくれたんです!!
...because the Hi!Hey!Say! staff held a party!! (i.e. a party with food and drinks)

薮と光と番組を始めてから初のお食事会
It was the first party we had with Yabu and Hikaru since the show started

みんなと一緒に懐かしい思い出話を話しました!!
And all of us started bringing up nostalgic memories!!

俺がドッキリにあったり、大阪で寝起きロケがあったり・・・。
When they played a prank on me, when we stayed the night in Osaka and got up to tape the show on location...

話はつきません。
The conversation just didn't run out.

この番組は俺の原点!
This show was the starting point for me!

薮と光と誓いました!!もっともっと楽しい番組にしよーって
I've made a promise to Yabu and Hikaru: we'll make a more enjoyable show of it

俺熱く語るの好きでさー 薮と光にはうざかったかな笑?
As for my fondness of making passionate speeches... Yabu, Hikaru... Did I annoy you? *LOL*

お兄ちゃんお仕事大好きだからごめんな
Please forgive me. It's just that your "onii-chan" (older brother in a figurative sense) loves his job too much.

とにかく、最高の会でした!!
Anyway, it was a great get-together!!

そして最高の弟2人でした!!」
...with the two best little brothers!!

-------------------------

This- This made me cry. I mean really, it made me cry. Because I remember all the episodes from Yayayah (at least the 40-60 episodes I have on my PC) And I remember the prank they pulled on him, and the Osaka live. I was crying.

Yayayah has always been one of my favorite shows, not just for the boys but for the content as well. Needless to say, the new show HHS does nothing in comparison and they better keep the promise of making a more enjoyable show of it, or else.

But still, to think that Yabu and Hikaru have come this far, and Shoon and Taiyo are left to the dust (although Shoon has been fairing well recently). It really makes me wonder where all that went. I miss it, I really do.

And Koyama, please don't forget that you don't just have TWO LITTLE BROTHERS. On that show, you used to have FOUR (or even more if you counted the number of times Inoo, Daiki, and Matsumoto Kyouhai guested). I'd understand if you'd say THREE, because Taiyo isn't in the Jimusho anymore, but disregarding Shoon's existence makes me sad (although I'm sure you didn't mean to.) D: I mean, Shoon's still there, isn't he? You see him every Shokura, don't you? Do you still view him as one of your precious little brothers? When he's all crack!-filled and hyper, do you ever think, 'hey, I remember when he was still a quiet boy in Yayayah, Ah, I sure miss those days.'

Which makes me wonder... How did Yabu and Hikaru feel when talking about these nostalgic memories? I really wonder. (They should really have their own blogs on J-Web soon. I need an outlet for my Taiyo deprivation)

Now I'm depressed. I'm gonna go cry myself to sleep now.

RULES:
1. Put Your iTunes, Windows Media Player, ETC on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
4. Put any comments after the song name.
5. Put this in your journal.

Lol, you can see by now that I'm not entirely a J-music addict (this is my TOP RATED playlist, so it's mixed Jap, English and OPM. I actually have more Japanese songs than English and Filipino songs combined and half of my Jap songs are Johnny's Songs. It just so happened that a lot of English songs and non-Johnny's songs popped up. My TOP RATED playlist is predominantly Arashi and my most played is Subarashiki Sekai with 146 plays (that's why it came up so early in the playlist), so it's proof that I'm still an Arashi fangirl. No HSJ songs popped up - I'm sad XD

Remember my "OH THEY SO RIPPED OFF SUMMARY" post?

Well screw RIPPING OFF Summary, they're going to be fucking DOING SUMMARY this summer.

HSJ brings back SUMMARY

Tue, May 6, 2008 (12:32am EDT)
On Monday, Hey! Say! JUMP performed a concert at the Yokohama Arena. During the concert, they announced that they are bringing back the entertainment show 'SUMMARY', which was started in 2004 and was last held in 2005 by Ya-Ya-yah and NEWS.

The production cost for the show is said to be 1.5 billion yen. A special structure is being built in Odaiba for it, measuring roughly 60 meters in diameter and 30 meters tall, with a capacity of 3,000 people. Hey! Say! JUMP won't be the only ones appearing in the show, as a total of 200 members of Johnny's Jr. are expected to participate.

30 performances are scheduled between August 2 and August 31.

I finally finished moving my posts from my my freewebs blog to my LJ blog - I'll still be updating them both though (although I haven't uploaded my newest post to freewebs yet).

So you'll notice I have more entries if you scroll back in my journal - they're a lot more interesting, and a lot longer and more exciting than my posts now XD I'm glad I was able to move them - LJ is more search engine friendly than Freewebs.

If you have time, just click on THIS LINK. Don't do anything. JUST CLICK. After you click, please go ONCE A DAY. I need to increase my population XD

-------------------------------------

As for the Summer Time Single - I'm flailing about it NOW.

Summer Time
is, well, Summer Time. We've all heard it, so there's nothing much to flail about anymore. But I still love it. It's definitely my number one Summer Song this season, and I've had it on loop for a long time. It's a recurring chorus, making it very addicting - I like that in my songs. It's also very easy to translate, and thus making it easier to memorize the lyrics - I memorized the Chorus after the first time I listened to it on YouTube.

You can hear a faint guitar in the background. Also trumpets and bongos and tropical drums. Traditional Summer. - I like that. Most of the music is synthesizer induced, but a lot of JE songs are like that anyway. The beat is steady, strong and the hard beats are emphasized with low bass (I think. My bro's playing Saliva next door, so I can't really make it out that well).

-------------

Easy Come, Easy Go
is definitely one to add to my Summer Playlist - Along with Nantoka Narusa, Nandex2 Dame and of course, Summer Time. It's nice, upbeat, and the tunes repeat themselves, so it's definitely addicting - JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT. And as an added bonus, the english isn't so bad this time XD

I'm so happy that all the members get reasonable solo time in this song - because I actually find it kya-inducing to hear each member's voice individually. I can barely hear Yamapi in the chorus (is he even in it?) and I LOVE that - that's definitely a good thing in my book. Shige's solo in the middle makes me smile too, because he's not trying too hard to put out a vibrato. He's just being himself, it's like he's talking to you, except with notes. I also find it easy to harmonize with this song - Usually, after singing the song once or twice and learning the tune, I start second voicing and seeing how it sounds. I found this song particularly easy to do, so I like that XD

Excuse my lack of terms and my very crude descriptions, I don't study music, so for all I know I might be spewing BS, but I just say it as I call it and hear it. So that's all me.

-------------

LIAR is probably the exact opposite of Easy Come, Easy Go. It's a heavy song - comparable to how Arashi tends to release "badass" songs once in awhile - I also have a feeling this will be one of the songs Kisumai headbangs to in the near future XD.

I'm so happy Shige and Koyama started rapping in this single. I've missed Shige's rapping for ages. The english in this song is... well, ENGRISH. But at least it's not IT'S JARK IN MY SOUL - SO GLOOMING GLOOMING NIGHT. Unfortunately, most of the singing parts (not surprisingly) are given to Yamapi and Tego, but I'm happy because in the Chorus, I predominantly hear Yamapi's, Ryo's and SHIGE'S voices. The chorus also sounds very familiar - I still have to put my finger on it though.

-------------

Baby! Be my Baby
is my favorite song on the single (tied with Summer Time). The guitar and base is actually very similar to Sakura Sake. And yes, the guitar is actually playable, and it's actual drumming (not the synthesizer and machine drumming and guitar).

This is the song that goes in the same playlist as WeeeeK, Party Time, Good News!, and Stand Up! and of course Sakura Sake (even though it's not a NewS song). These songs are my favorite of NewS's, and if you analyze, they have the same pattern to them, very pop-rockish, with distinguishable base and guitar, and prominent drum beats. This is one of the songs I play to encourage me to work (especially during school days).  I've always loved songs like these, because the beat makes me think of working hard, and at the end of the day, getting a good rest.

-------------

There weren't any ballads in this single - I'm actually happy about that. Because it's Summer and Ballads just don't do for me during Summer XD. And besides, I already have Ai Nante and Taiyou no Namida on my Playlist. (Not to mention all of Ohno's Solos and a lot of Kinki) so I don't think I need anymore ballads XD

So yeah, overall, I rate this single 4.2 out of 5. Blame it on the ENGRISH.
