I finally finished moving my posts from my my freewebs blog to my LJ blog - I'll still be updating them both though (although I haven't uploaded my newest post to freewebs yet).
So you'll notice I have more entries if you scroll back in my journal - they're a lot more interesting, and a lot longer and more exciting than my posts now XD I'm glad I was able to move them - LJ is more search engine friendly than Freewebs.-------------------------------------

As for the Summer Time Single - I'm flailing about it NOW.
Summer Time is, well, Summer Time. We've all heard it, so there's nothing much to flail about anymore. But I still love it. It's definitely my number one Summer Song this season, and I've had it on loop for a long time. It's a recurring chorus, making it very addicting - I like that in my songs. It's also very easy to translate, and thus making it easier to memorize the lyrics - I memorized the Chorus after the first time I listened to it on YouTube.
You can hear a faint guitar in the background. Also trumpets and bongos and tropical drums. Traditional Summer. - I like that. Most of the music is synthesizer induced, but a lot of JE songs are like that anyway. The beat is steady, strong and the hard beats are emphasized with low bass (I think. My bro's playing Saliva next door, so I can't really make it out that well).

Easy Come, Easy Go is definitely one to add to my
Summer Playlist - Along with
Nantoka Narusa, Nandex2 Dame and of course, Summer Time. It's nice, upbeat, and the tunes repeat themselves, so it's definitely addicting -
JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT. And as an added bonus, the english isn't so bad this time XD
I'm so happy that all the members get reasonable solo time in this song - because I actually find it kya-inducing to hear each member's voice individually. I can barely hear Yamapi in the chorus (is he even in it?) and
I LOVE that - that's definitely a good thing in my book. Shige's solo in the middle makes me smile too, because he's not trying too hard to put out a vibrato. He's just being himself, it's like he's talking to you, except with notes. I also find it easy to harmonize with this song - Usually, after singing the song once or twice and learning the tune, I start second voicing and seeing how it sounds. I found this song particularly easy to do, so I like that XD
Excuse my lack of terms and my very crude descriptions, I don't study music, so for all I know I might be spewing BS, but I just say it as I call it and hear it. So that's all me.

LIAR is probably the exact opposite of Easy Come, Easy Go. It's a heavy song - comparable to how Arashi tends to release "badass" songs once in awhile - I also have a feeling this will be one of the songs Kisumai headbangs to in the near future XD.
I'm so happy Shige and Koyama started rapping in this single. I've missed Shige's rapping for ages. The english in this song is... well,
ENGRISH. But at least it's not
IT'S JARK IN MY SOUL - SO GLOOMING GLOOMING NIGHT. Unfortunately, most of the singing parts (not surprisingly) are given to Yamapi and Tego, but I'm happy because in the Chorus, I predominantly hear Yamapi's, Ryo's and
SHIGE'S voices. The chorus also sounds very familiar - I still have to put my finger on it though.

Baby! Be my Baby is my favorite song on the single (tied with Summer Time). The guitar and base is actually very similar to
Sakura Sake. And yes, the guitar is actually playable, and it's actual drumming (not the synthesizer and machine drumming and guitar).
This is the song that goes in the same playlist as
WeeeeK, Party Time, Good News!, and Stand Up! and of course Sakura Sake (even though it's not a NewS song). These songs are my favorite of NewS's, and if you analyze, they have the same pattern to them, very pop-rockish, with distinguishable base and guitar, and prominent drum beats. This is one of the songs I play to encourage me to work (especially during school days). I've always loved songs like these, because the beat makes me think of working hard, and at the end of the day, getting a good rest.

There weren't any ballads in this single - I'm actually happy about that. Because it's Summer and Ballads just don't do for me during Summer XD. And besides, I already have Ai Nante and Taiyou no Namida on my Playlist. (Not to mention all of Ohno's Solos and a lot of Kinki) so I don't think I need anymore ballads XD
So yeah, overall, I rate this single 4.2 out of 5. Blame it on the
ENGRISH.
