It's almost the start of class and I'm proud to say that I've already started getting ready with my school supplies. The present surprise that  are the July scans of Myojo are very timely for this sort of thing.

They come with little print outs of pen covers, eraser covers, a mini class schedule thing and more XD I think amma have them mass produced in UP just for my use XDDDDD. I have a feeling my classmates are going to o_O at me when they see Okamoto Keito and Takaki Yuya in my pens and erasers XD I can imagine it now.

Hmmmm I'm having ideas as to a follow up for today's **** shopping XD

no, the **** don't spell out 'porn'. Sorry to disappoint you all :D

Sorry, just a random rave.

If you thought the PV was love you're going to love the making of XD

Yes, the making of was AWESOME. Not so much member ai (hey, they're 15, 16, 17, give them a break), just a lot of having fun, fooling around, crack! and fail. XD

So I was finally able to watch last week's Shounen Club LOL. I enjoyed BERRY BERRY MUCHO btw.

BTW, I still need help deciding which Keito Icon to use. Please GO HERE.

I'm sure you've all watched it, so I'm not going to go into detail, but there are a few things that I'd like to say after watching.

It makes me happy to see that there's a junior with braces, and that he's not afraid to smile and show them off. It makes me more comfortable about my braces, and less sad that I won't get them off in time for prom.

Also, it makes me full of glee to find that SC is FINALLY moving on without HSJ. I'm one of the few that want HSJ out of the picture completely, because they have their own shows, they don't need anymore pimping. (but the Keito love is, well, LOVE.)

I very much LOVE Julia, because I got to hear everybody's vibratos XD God, I love Yodo's voice to bits. And unexpectedly, Goto Hiromi (IT'S VIOLIN KID) has a pretty good voice as well. It reminds me of Taka's voice when he was still in JE. It makes me have faith that JE isn't just a bunch of tone-deaf pretty boys whose only consolation is the rolling of hips. (Although Kitayama does have a decent voice)

I also loved the Nekketsu Junior League segment. Shoon, was of course, on crack, and yes, they're pimping QUESTION? again (if you don't know, I'm a total Q? fan right now). Dream Bombers are kicking Jounetsu Rainbows' butts. We need Yabu back D: (is a hypocrite XD)

I also love Kansai Juniors. (I'm starting to like them better than Tokyo Juniors). Too bad I can never get to memorizing their names. They look more handsome than the current Tokyo Juniors, are funnier, and remind me of COAT WEST -is bricked-. But yes, I loved the Junior ni Q segment with them. Tokyo Q segments are boring. They should always do the Kansai version -is bricked again- (Itou reminds me of Nakai of SMAP so much LOLOLOLOLOL XD)

So now I know what everyone was talking about during the Heisei Post Segment. I like Keito when he's shamelessly revealing Yuto's flaws and the dork that he really is. Yuto's so tall btw, or Nakamaru's just short. And I've also noticed how compared to everybody else, Keito's shoulders are the broadest. I like that *_*

Also, I have a schoolgirl crush on Anderson D: I really do. And he's like years younger than me. Help me D:

So much for not going into detail. LOL

I finally finished moving my posts from my my freewebs blog to my LJ blog - I'll still be updating them both though (although I haven't uploaded my newest post to freewebs yet).

So you'll notice I have more entries if you scroll back in my journal - they're a lot more interesting, and a lot longer and more exciting than my posts now XD I'm glad I was able to move them - LJ is more search engine friendly than Freewebs.

As for the Summer Time Single - I'm flailing about it NOW.

Summer Time
is, well, Summer Time. We've all heard it, so there's nothing much to flail about anymore. But I still love it. It's definitely my number one Summer Song this season, and I've had it on loop for a long time. It's a recurring chorus, making it very addicting - I like that in my songs. It's also very easy to translate, and thus making it easier to memorize the lyrics - I memorized the Chorus after the first time I listened to it on YouTube.

You can hear a faint guitar in the background. Also trumpets and bongos and tropical drums. Traditional Summer. - I like that. Most of the music is synthesizer induced, but a lot of JE songs are like that anyway. The beat is steady, strong and the hard beats are emphasized with low bass (I think. My bro's playing Saliva next door, so I can't really make it out that well).

-------------

Easy Come, Easy Go
is definitely one to add to my Summer Playlist - Along with Nantoka Narusa, Nandex2 Dame and of course, Summer Time. It's nice, upbeat, and the tunes repeat themselves, so it's definitely addicting - JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT. And as an added bonus, the english isn't so bad this time XD

I'm so happy that all the members get reasonable solo time in this song - because I actually find it kya-inducing to hear each member's voice individually. I can barely hear Yamapi in the chorus (is he even in it?) and I LOVE that - that's definitely a good thing in my book. Shige's solo in the middle makes me smile too, because he's not trying too hard to put out a vibrato. He's just being himself, it's like he's talking to you, except with notes. I also find it easy to harmonize with this song - Usually, after singing the song once or twice and learning the tune, I start second voicing and seeing how it sounds. I found this song particularly easy to do, so I like that XD

Excuse my lack of terms and my very crude descriptions, I don't study music, so for all I know I might be spewing BS, but I just say it as I call it and hear it. So that's all me.

-------------

LIAR is probably the exact opposite of Easy Come, Easy Go. It's a heavy song - comparable to how Arashi tends to release "badass" songs once in awhile - I also have a feeling this will be one of the songs Kisumai headbangs to in the near future XD.

I'm so happy Shige and Koyama started rapping in this single. I've missed Shige's rapping for ages. The english in this song is... well, ENGRISH. But at least it's not IT'S JARK IN MY SOUL - SO GLOOMING GLOOMING NIGHT. Unfortunately, most of the singing parts (not surprisingly) are given to Yamapi and Tego, but I'm happy because in the Chorus, I predominantly hear Yamapi's, Ryo's and SHIGE'S voices. The chorus also sounds very familiar - I still have to put my finger on it though.

-------------

Baby! Be my Baby
is my favorite song on the single (tied with Summer Time). The guitar and base is actually very similar to Sakura Sake. And yes, the guitar is actually playable, and it's actual drumming (not the synthesizer and machine drumming and guitar).

This is the song that goes in the same playlist as WeeeeK, Party Time, Good News!, and Stand Up! and of course Sakura Sake (even though it's not a NewS song). These songs are my favorite of NewS's, and if you analyze, they have the same pattern to them, very pop-rockish, with distinguishable base and guitar, and prominent drum beats. This is one of the songs I play to encourage me to work (especially during school days).  I've always loved songs like these, because the beat makes me think of working hard, and at the end of the day, getting a good rest.

-------------

There weren't any ballads in this single - I'm actually happy about that. Because it's Summer and Ballads just don't do for me during Summer XD. And besides, I already have Ai Nante and Taiyou no Namida on my Playlist. (Not to mention all of Ohno's Solos and a lot of Kinki) so I don't think I need anymore ballads XD

So yeah, overall, I rate this single 4.2 out of 5. Blame it on the ENGRISH.

He will forever remain a twelve year old kid to me.

So the real point of this entry is this.

No screencaps of Thrill and Wonderland-train because I'm lazy. But my take on it is that Wonderland-train was by far better than Thrill - at least it had some OOMPH to it or something. Thrill just felt the same for me - shirtless guys and hip thrusting (not that I'm complaining XD) It's just that, they didn't even have that awesome lighting and fog that they had during their SC performances, so I didn't enjoy it as much. Wonderland-train however was very amusing - it made me happy to see our little members doing acrobatics and such - and even though it was very yuto-chinen-yamada centered, the camera gave way to all our loves, so <3

The performance I liked BEST so far was Star Time.

ALSO a highlight of this performance is a little Keito x Inoo moment right at the end.

Oh god, This DVD's got me SHIPPING KEITO SLASH.

WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO??? WHY, HSJ DVD, WHY???

P.S. My Koyama Birthday Post comes towards the end of today - I'm going to need all the time I can get, because I am battling the ultimate distraction that is the HSJ DVD.

P.P.S. I am so ENVIOUS of [info]warriorkitana right now. She got to see MATSUMOTO JUN IN PERSON during the Hidden Fortress : The Last Princess premier at USC, and was just A FEW FEET away from him. D: I wish I could have gone.
